GlobeMed 8th Annual Hilltop Conference

Event Description:

Each spring semester, GlobeMed hosts a professional conference on a relevant public health topic. This year, GlobeMed's Public Health Conference will focus on Human trafficking in Uganda, especially of women and children. The event will bring together students, professionals, and advocates to explore these critical public health topics. The conference will feature a keynote speaker, interactive breakout sessions, and an alumni panel discussion centered on the current state of public health and the various career paths available in the field. More specifically, this year's conference will examine human trafficking preventative, survivor-centered care, public health responses, and community-based interventions.
